About The Power Summit
The Power Summit began as an idea from Founder and Executive Director, Courteney Wilds. She was concerned about the amount of misinformation spreading through media (social, television, etc.) about how our government works. The right to vote is one of the most fundamental aspects of democracy, yet many citizens who are eligible to vote, don’t because they are uninformed or misinformed about the significance of their participation in elections. To address this challenge, the Power Summit was born.
The Power Summit empowers individuals to become informed, engaged, and effective leaders by providing nonpartisan civic education, leadership development, and meaningful dialogue that strengthens communities and encourages active participation in our democracy.
